A  SG&A taxonomy combined with MIT’s Process Framework or APQC’s Process Classification Framework™ (PCF) creates a semantic network framework.

APQC defines a process as series of interrelated activities that convert inputs into results (outputs); processes consume resources and require standards for repeatable performance; processes respond to control systems that direct the quality, rate, and cost of performance.
