Welcome to my personal musings. In 2002 I gave up my career in lower Manhattan and moved my family to Essex, Vermont. My wife Jane and I are now 75% complete getting our four adult children through the University of Vermont! That could be mission complete, but I have another emotional driver.
In 2007, I started on a controlled vocabulary quest. My work has been helping companies attain top line revenue growth through the use of a controlled vocabulary and search. In 2012, my vendor agnostic framework of content/data/information is adding value in defining business intelligence, enterprise content management and SharePoint™ initiatives.
My appetite for enterprise vocabulary started in 1981, I was the night-shift computer operator for Dun and Bradstreet in Stamford, CT. I was the guy responsible for moving bits and bytes around on mountable drives and tapes. Everything was neat and tidy back then, in the days when information had order.
I am looking to join a firm that sees technology value gaps caused by multiple vendors and delivers on the value of SharePoint™ for enterprise data integration, business intelligence and alignment to functional processes and activities.
Here is what I can bring to your team:
QUALIFICATIONS - Solution facilitation experience in enterprise, finance and client facing systems.
- Business and technology value focused, with extensive experience with CIO, CFO, CMO and line of business owners.
- Confident, conscientious and creative team member, with proven communication skills and the ability to effectively manage time and resources.
- Track record of understanding complex customer needs and identifying solutions that help customers achieve their goals and objectives
I am an enterprise taxonomist utilizing process frameworks, business intelligence, taxonomy and metadata. I developed a common sense framework and vocabulary of business processes and an ICANN registered semantic network focused on taxonomy, information architecture and access and control that is aligned to functional business processes and activities.
